Split Stone

This causes the stone's surface to break along its natural grain, revealing unique patterns and stone textures. It has an uneven surface, providing a raw, stylish, and natural feel. It is often produced in the form of slabs or tiles for wall decoration, or sometimes used for flooring in certain areas.

Split stone can be categorized according to the type of natural stone used in its production, including:

• Sandstone Split: Characterized by warm tones such as yellow, brown, cream, and red, with natural patterns from sand layers. The stone's texture may be more porous than other types.
• Slate Split: Has a layered appearance. Colors are often dark, such as gray, black, green, or may have hints of rust. It offers a distinct texture and is strong, though some varieties may cleave along their layers.
• Quartzite Split: Possesses very high strength and durability. It often contains quartz crystals, giving it a sparkling, glittering appearance when it catches the light. It comes in various colors, such as white, gray, pink, and green.
• Other Types of Stone: Some types of marble or granite can also be given a split-face finish, but these are not as common as the first three types.

• If there are stains, they can be wiped clean with plain water and a sponge or soft-bristled brush, or use a mild, pH-neutral cleaning solution. (Avoid harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners as they can damage the stone or its sealant).
• For highly porous stones (such as sandstone) or for use in areas prone to moisture or staining (e.g., exterior walls, walls near stoves), consider applying a sealer for natural stone. This will help prevent ingrained dirt, reduce water absorption, and prevent moss or algae growth. Reapplication may be necessary according to the recommended schedule.
